FAQ
Permanent makeup remains in the skin for 1-3 years, but its durability depends on factors such as skin condition, compliance with post-treatment recommendations, or the quality of the pigment. Additional pigmentation performed every 1 / 1.5 years for the brows and every 3 years for lips will keep them fresh and in the desired colour.
Cold sores are a common infection caused by a virus called Herpes Simplex (fever blisters). More than 90% of people get cold sores at least one time in their life. Taking the right medications can heal them and decrease the chance of their recurrence. Cold sores occur mostly on the lips. Many things can trigger the outbreak of cold sores such as stress, infection, fever, allergy, sunburns, or permanent lips treatment. If you have already booked an appointment for PMU brows or lips and you are having an active cold sore then inform your artist and reschedule the appointment. Wait until it gets fully healed.
CONSULTATION and patch test is the prior treatment visit:
At least 2 days before the scheduled treatment,
Free consultation to discuss expectations, answer questions,
PMU Treatment visit:
Pre-drawing of eyebrows shape,
Colour selection,
First pigmentation.
Touch up visit (after 6 weeks):
Improvement of the healed pigmentation,
6-12 weeks after the first pigmentation.
Correction visit:
1-2 years after touch up,
To refresh them if the effect is no longer satisfactory.
Immediately after the treatment, the brows may be slightly itchy, red and irritated, and you will feel the skin tightening effect. The colour will be more intense. After about 3 days, scabs will appear. When the scabs fall off naturally, brows will lose their intense colour, but in the following weeks, the pigment will stabilize and darken again slightly.
The pre-drawing is supposed to reflect the shape we will achieve during the process of pigmentation. If the pre-drawing is imperfect, crooked, or doesn't meet your expectations, don’t hesitate to inform the person who performs the procedure. Never agree to a free-hand procedure (treatment without the pre-drawing).
It is a myth that permanent makeup removal can cause permanent damage to the eyebrows; of course, there are burns caused by too strong a laser beam.
Eyebrow removal is a multi-step procedure. Sometimes multiple removals are required with an interval of 6 weeks between procedures.
As with the pigmentation itself, the location where the removal of old permanent makeup is to be performed should be thoroughly checked and the person performing the procedure should be competent and well-trained.
Permanent makeup can lose its colour, and this has nothing to do with the poor quality of the procedure or the poor quality of the products. The pigment changes under the influence of many external factors as well as our health, which is why a correction is recommended after one year or one and a half years since the first pigmentation.
